Obituary

Quam, Gwen A. STOUGHTON-Gwen A. Quam, age 73, of Stoughton, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She married Eric J. Quam on Nov. 23, 1957, in Evansville. Gwen liked to do crafts and work in her flower gardens. She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. Gwen worked for Well’s Fargo, Stoughton State Bank and First National Bank. She loved collecting moose, mice figurines and angels. Gwen is survived by her husband, Eric; son, James (JoAnn) Quam; granddaughter, Kaila Hover-Quam; great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Stenjum; brothers, Charles (Jacqualine) Farrell and Lee Farrell; sister, Margaret (Mahlon) Hallmark; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Mark. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at ST. ANN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 323 North Van Buren Street, Stoughton, at 11:30 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Friday. I went to high school in Evansville with Gwen & rode the same school bus with her for several years. She was such a likeable person . My husband worked with her husband Eric for many years at Uniroyal. God Bless you all. Janice Johnston
