Dear Family: It was with sadness that I read of Marge's passing. I've known Dick & Marge since his days of teaching at Gogebic Community College. Dick and Marge were so kind and gracious in their honest support of the students, especially those, like me in "71-73 having a number of Dick's classes. I can still vividly remember the party Dick and Marge threw at their Ramsay home with the main entree being breaded snapping turtle. All the guys loved it (as did Marge) but not so much the wives (to the great delight of Dick and Marge as they then rubbed it in for the wives explaining how Dick caught, cleaned and prepared the turtle for dinner.) Upon my return back home to practice law in 1979, Dick and Marge would always check in to see how I was doing (as they did for a group of my GCC classmates who all came back to practice law about the same time.) I will also fondly remember Marge's welcoming smile whenever we would meet, as well as how she said she had to make sure "she kept Dick in line!" She was the quiet "general" presiding over the main man "colonel" in the room. I was so blessed to kow them both, and they are in my prayers, as are all of you.

Schulze, Doug & Judy Dear Richard Jr, John,, Suzanne, Doug & your Dad taught at Gogebic Community College. Our most fond memories are years we went to Bailey's Harbor, WI every August starting in 1977 to fish for brown trout. The men and boys were always successful. Your Mom and I stayed on shore with our 1 or 3 boys. The youngest one was born June of 1977. Sometimes my parents or Doug's parents came too. That's when the Mom's/Grandmothers started canning fish on shore. It was awesome. Your Mom and Dad where like local grandparents for our boys since we lived away from our parents. Your Mom always had gifts for our boys and when it was time for me to go to the hospital for the next baby, your Mom would come the middle of the night to stay with the other brother at home. We lived in Bessemer so it was easy for us to spend a lot of time together. We were blessed that your Mom and Dad wanted to spend time with us as a young family especially the weeks vacation in August.
