Obituary

BAKER, THOMAS “TOM” C LODI-Tom C. Baker, age 58, passed away suddenly Sunday, December 14, 2014 after battling illnesses for many years. He was born August 27, 1956 in Tomah Wisconsin, the son of Merle and Linnea Baker. Tom was a 1974 graduate of Lodi High School and he attended MATC. He was a member of the Carpenters Local Union 314 and was employed as a carpenter by several area companies. Tom married Kris Brahmer on August 17, 2001 in Madison. He had a variety of interests, loved fishing and was an avid Packers fan. Tom was planning and working remodeling their home to accommodate his mother and father in-law. He especially loved spending time with his family and puppies, Buddy and Augie and grand puppy Bella. In addition to the “love of his life”, Kris, Tom is survived by his step-son, Ric Murray; mother, Linnea; brothers, Michael (Tammy) Baker and William (Debbie) Baker; sister, Margaret Baker; mother and father in-law, Bud and Gert Brahmer; several brothers in-law and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Merle and nephew, Nathan. Funeral Services will be held at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 206 Pleasant St., Lodi, at 11:00 am on Friday, December 19, 2014, with Pastor Michael Lee presiding. Celebration of Tom’s life will immediately follow the service at REMI’S THIRSTY MOOSE, N3135 County Rd. V, Lake Wisconsin. Visitation will be held at HAMRE GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 157 S. Main St., Lodi, Thursday, December 18, 2014, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visitation will also be held on Friday December 19, 2014 from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the church. A special thank you to Tom’s brother Bill and friends for being able to bring laughter to Tom’s life during his illness. Tom was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed. We will all remember his one of a kind and contagious laugh.
