Obituary
MIDDLETON-Suzanne “Suzie” Eileen Gold, age 61, received her Academy Award for “A life well lived and a fight well fought”, Sunday, February 22, 2015. Bon Voyage. The health challenges she faced in life were met with a tenacity few could muster and much of her strength was fueled by her love of family and friends as we all valued her non-judgmental nature. She was born February 19, 1954 in Valparaiso, IN to the late Bob and Eileen (Sterbenz) Gold. On October 17, 1981, she married Dennis Adler, the man who inspired her to wear out Dean Martin’s “Everybody Loves Somebody” on the juke box at The Middleton Sport Bowl. Although divorced, they remained partners and friends in fulfilling their dream of raising two beautiful women. She will forever be celebrated by her daughters, Tamara and Jamie Adler, her siblings Larry (Mary) Gold, Bob (Vickie) Gold, Mary (Dave) Miller, Ben (Karina) Gold, Janice (Dave) Fjellman, her beloved nieces and nephews, Dennis Adler and her extended Adler family, her friend Tom Yost and Murray, her Scottish Terrier. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Mike and infant niece, Sara Beth Miller. A Time of Sharing will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton at 6 PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2015. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday from 4 PM until the time of the service. Her family would like to extend a special thanks to Wendy Steinhauer; her health partners Dr. Alexandru Musat, his nurse Mary Douglas, Dr. Laurel Romer and the many angels who cared for her at the University Hospital.

Your sister Mary and I (and many others) would hang out at your house watching Dark Shadows and eating waffles. Whenever you walked in we were in awe of your beauty and the way you took care of yourself!! Especially your lips!!! You were ALWAYS putting stuff on your lips!! Haha!! Then you became my roommate, married my crazy brother and the rest is history!!! You are vivid in my memory Suzie, may you sleep in heavenly peace until we meet again!!

I remember you & Denny coming to visit at xmas when I lived in Poynette. My dad would the play guitar and harmonica and we'd all sing along. I remember staying with you when you lived at Dee's and you letting me wear your clothes. And to this day I still use and have supersized BonneBell Lipsmackers! I have many memories that I will cherish.
And no matter how infrequently we saw each other in the last several years, when we did it was like no time had passed. You are part of my family and will continue to be. Rest in peace my friend.
