To be sure, we did have our issues. Since this has all taken place, I have reflected at the life we had; the promising direction. I know where we went wrong and took different paths after our daughter died. We lost touch with one another and never truly connected after that. I did not know who you were and you did not know me any longer. I am glad that we did make our peace with one another and accepted each other and were moving forward. We were getting along and finally working together. I want you to know that our children love you and miss you very much and I will do my best to take care of them. They are the very best of each of us and hopefully carry none of the worst. Please continue to look over them and guide them as best as you can. They need your positive energy in their lives more than ever. I am going to do the best I can as their father and guide them throughout their lives. I will fail. I will succeed.
I did enjoy the slideshow of you. I had not mourned you until that time when I saw how happy you were when we were living in Minnesota and our first Thanksgiving together as a family. I mourned you and loved you. I mourned our happy times and I will endeavor to do my best to keep those in my heart.
I pray that you are at peace. BTW, I did place a piece of cake on the table for you during the lunch after the service. I know how much you would have enjoyed that but I just remembered that I forgot the coffee.
