Thomas "Tom" Chinn Jr.

Chinn, Thomas Jr. “Tom” MADISON-Thomas “Tom” Chinn Jr., age 70, of Madison, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at his home. He was born on Nov. 12, 1944, the son of Thomas and Doris (O’Brien) Chinn. He married Londa Elmer on Feb. 13, 1966, in St. Croix Falls, Wis., and together they had four daughters. Tom graduated from Albany High School. He was a very hard worker and worked at Ho Chunk in Madison. Tom also worked at Oil Equipment and Steenberg Homes. He liked to hunt, work on cars and was a gifted woodworker. Tom enjoyed camping with his family and was a member of the Jolly Jesters and then the Blue Blazers Camping Associations. One of his favorite hangouts was the Horseshoe Bar & Grill. Tom had a big heart and would do anything for others. Tom is survived by his parents; daughters, Darci, Nicki, and Janelle; 17 grandchildren, Ashley Wiganowsky, Amanda Slick, Tanner Vinje, Jason Kingslien, Thadeus Kingslien, Zacory Kroeber, Paige Mitchell, Chase Mitchell, Tyler Mitchell; Deondrae Bell, Alethea Richardson, Ezell Brown, Kdeion Daniels, Kal’el Brown, Irie Tucker, and an unborn granddaughter; many great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry (Gloria) Chinn, Mike (Pat) Chinn, and David (Robin) Chinn; and former wife, Londa Chinn. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shelli Vinje; grandchildren, Nayshon and Rayshon Brown; and sister, Mary Lou Chinn. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, March 28, 2015, with the Rev. David Chinn presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Friday, March 27, 2015 and from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
