KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN- Mary Elnora Brandhoff (Brandy) Penniman, aged 92, passed quietly into her next life on Good Friday, April 3, 2015. She was born in Baltimore, Md., to Edward B. H. Brandhoff and Blanche Hill Brandhoff. Trained as a nurse, Elnora served in the U.S. Army in WWII where she met her husband, John Penniman, who predeceased her. She leaves four children, Andrew (Carolyn M.) of Peachtree Corners, Ga., Catharine of Madison, David (Carolyn R.) of Alanson, Mich., and Donald (Dawn) of Grand Rapids, Mich.; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jane Monaghan of Demorest, Ga., and Rose of Baltimore, Md. Elnora was preceded in death by two brothers; and a sister. Funeral arrangements are pending. Interment is to be in Fort Custer National Cemetery in Michigan.
