Obituary

Neitzel, Rick MCFARLAND-Rick Neitzel, age 56, of McFarland, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015, after a short illness. He was born on Nov. 9, 1958 in Milwaukee, the son of Edwin and Judi Neitzel. He married Bonnie Town on May 3, 1980. Rick graduated from McFarland High School in 1977. He worked in the HVAC business for 40 years, including Air Temperature Services and then owned and operated Johnson Mechanical Systems in Portage. Rick was a member and former president of BNI, WI. He also belonged to the National Wild Turkey Federation, Pheasants Forever and Ducks Unlimited. He was a dedicated family man, an avid hunter and sportsmen, and was a Badgers and Packers fan. Rick enjoyed spending time at Lake George in Portage and “The Land”. He will be remembered as a hard worker. Rick is survived by his parents; wife, Bonnie; four children, Jeannie Town, Nicole (Chris) Wrchota, and Ashley and Clayton Neitzel; four grandchildren, Dayton, Amber, Taylor and Noah; brother, Tim (Mickey) Neitzel; sister, Dawn (Kevin) Dommisse; mother-in-law, Donna Smith; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Wayne “Smitty” Smith; and grandparents, Helen “Nana” and Caswell Garber. A memorial service will be held at MCFARLAND LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5529 Marsh Rd., McFarland, at 2 p.m., on Saturday, April 11, 2015, with the Rev. Kelli Schmit presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for a memorial to be established. We could always count on Rick to be there and he provided his outstanding business services for many of us for years. We will miss him very much.
