Urzedowski, Karen L. (Anthon)
MADISON–Karen L. Urzedowski, age 68, passed away from a long illness on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg, Wis. She was born on May 17, 1946, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, Wis. to Grace I. Anthon (Ball) and Wayne A. Anthon. Karen was employed at the William S. Middleton VA Hospital for 20 years as a radiological technologist, where she provided care to our veterans. She loved travel, vacations and playing computer games. Karen loved her home and welcomed those who visited. She was married to John W. Urzedowski and had four children, Lisa K. (predeceased), Brian S. Urzedowski of Frankfort, Ill., Sheryl Urzedowski and Debbie Urzedowski of Orland Park, Ill. Karen also had two grandchildren, Brandon Urzedowski and Justin Parker; four siblings, Rose Brown (predeceased), Renae Wilson, Debbie Jones and Gary Anthon and his husband, Robert Anthon; and many nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m., on Monday, April 20, 2015, with Pastor Steven Zwettler presiding. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. Karen was a delight to work with at the VA. She loved talking to veterans and sharing stories. I only worked with her a few short years but I have a lot of memories. Her memory still lives on in the Radiology Department. Rest in Peace Karen you will never be forgotten.
