Obituary
MOUNT HOREB-Michelle (Mickey) McGhee (nee Bartels), age, 45, passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, April 18, 2015. She was born on Sept. 20, 1969, in Platteville, the daughter of Ruth (Briggs) and Lewis Bartels. Michelle was an avid Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and NASCAR fan and she always wore her team colors proudly. Her children Justin and Shelby were her pride and joy and she was an active participant with the Angelman Syndrome Foundation on behalf of her angel, Shelby. Michelle is survived by her son, Justin (Tori) Cape; daughter, Shelby Leila McGhee; her mother, Ruth Bartels; father, Lewis (Aida) Bartels; sisters, Dawn Bartels, Julia Bartels, and Jamie (Brandon) Giardina; maternal grandmother, Janice Briggs; uncles; aunts; nieces and nephews; and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, John Briggs; grandparents, Glenn and Helen Bartels; and step-mother, Linda Bartels. A celebration of Michelle's life will be held at the GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg, from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., with a time of sharing beginning at 5:00 p.m, on Tuesday, April 21, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Michelle's name, in c/o her son, Justin Cape. - Psalm 23:4. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Mickey's children and family. She was so sweet and always made me smile on her post she made on facebook. I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful lady one time in Texas at her son's and my nephew's Airman Ceremony, she made me feel like we have known each other all of our lives.
