Van Haren, Ron J. "Van"
MADISON-Ron J. "Van" Van Haren, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015, at UW-Hospital. He was born on Nov. 17, 1955, in Madison, the son of Don and Ellie (Cadruvi) Van Haren. Van loved his cats, Murphy and Ojoe. He was an avid Brewers, Badgers and Packers fan. He was a career painter who started in the business with his father. Van is survived by his lifelong companion, Kim Brown; mother, Ellie; brothers, Dan (Jill) Van Haren , Randy (Cindy Baumgartner) Van Haren and Donnie (Jenifer) Van Haren; sisters, Terre (Mike) Van Haren-Roddy and Kim (Barry) Engen; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Don; and grandparents. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 7 p.m., on Friday, July 3, 2015. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Madison Coalition for the Homeless. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
