Mary Lou Anderson

FITCHBURG-Mary Lou Anderson, age 83, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Nov. 30, 2015. She was born on Nov. 11, 1932 in Portage, the daughter of Albert and Gladys (Balliot) Kotek. Mary Lou was employed over 38 years at Zinke's Grocery Store in Wisconsin Dells until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling throughout the country and crocheting blankets for her family, but especially enjoyed her time with family. Mary Lou is survived by her five children, Thomas, Richard, and Kenneth Wampler, Susan Saunders, and Teresa Dolphin; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Anna Mae Jax; and other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harlan Wampler in 1990, and Richard Anderson in 2006; brother, Elmer Kotek; and sister, Ruby Fiala. Memorial gatherings celebrating Mary Lou's life will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Rd., Fitchburg, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, and at NEW HAVEN TOWN HALL, 330 Golden Court, Wisconsin Dells, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015.
