He and Hannah also traveled to Germany. He truly lived life to the fullest and valued his friendships. He will be remember for his loving personality, optimism, quick wit, and his practical jokes. I first met Steve while teaching lunch hour yoga at the DOT where Steve worked. At first he was more of a beginner trying to feel more at ease in his body. Later he was diagnosed with cancer, retired from working, but continued to practice with us. Rather than giving up with his terminal diagnosis, he seemed to come to life. I was in awe of his quest to make peace with his past, find more meaning in his actions, and live each day in gratitude.. His interest in healing led him to not only practice physical yoga, but meditation and mindfulness. I will continue to be inspired by the light that Steve brought into the room when he spoke. Conversations were authentic and from the heart. He will be truly missed by all of us at the DOT yoga class.
