Obituary
STOUGHTON-Kevin L. Ferguson, age 56, passed away on Friday, Oct. 2, 2015. He was born on Sept. 23, 1959, in Ecorse, Mich., the son of James and Della (Spears) Ferguson. Kevin graduated from Kalmazoo College in 1981 and later obtained his Juris Doctorate from Marquette Law School in 1996. He served in the U.S. Army, 101st Airborne Division in Ft. Campbell, Ky., from 1982-1988 and was honorably discharged as a 1st Lieutenant. Kevin also served his country as a Diplomatic Special Agent for the U.S. State Dept. from 1986-1993. He loved books and had many interests including travel, art, golf and spending time with his daughter, Mara. In addition to his loving daughter, Mara, survivors include his sister, Beverly Sobran; and his two brothers, Keith (Connie) Ferguson and Jeff Ferguson. He was preceded in death by his parents. This is such sad, sudden news. Kevin and I were good friends from Kalamazoo College and also at Michigan State University. Some of my best memories of my time at MSU include Kevin. Our little group of friends had such fun together. My deepest sympathies to Kevin's family.

I was in law school with Kevin. We were in our small group writing class together and became friends right away. I loved going to law school with my pals kevin ferguson and sara Maccarthy. Kevin was smart, fun and very funny.

Love this picture that was posted on Facebook of Kevin. I will remember his great laugh, I will cherish the wonderful review he gave on my behalf at the law firm of Hall Render (it was a pleasure to work for him as his Legal Administrative Assistant), and mainly, I will miss my friend. In 34 years of working with various law firms throughout the Midwest, Kevin was one of my favorites and I have only had 4-5 favorites in my whole career. He was definitely one of my very favorites.
