Obituary
MADISON-Betty Higgins, age 80, of Madison, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015. She was born on Nov. 17, 1934, in Madison, the daughter of Buford and Bertha (Austin) Wong. Betty married Carvor "Cub" Higgins on Nov. 14, 1953. She worked for Madison Metro Schools and was a member of St. Dennis Catholic Church. Betty is survived by four children, Keith (Susan) Higgins of New Mexico, Kay (Howard) Fritsch of Dodgeville, Kari (Mark) DuPree of Texas and Bonnie (Mike) Goth of Cottage Grove; 11 grandchildren; a passel of great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved very much; and her special caretaker, Chelci. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Cub. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 3 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, with a gathering to follow. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

My deepest sympathy to the family. Whenever I traveled North to Wisconsin, I always enjoyed visiting with Betty. Going to the Fireside Theater with her was always a treat. She will be dearly loved and missed. May God comfort you during your time of loss.

We are so sorry for you loss. I am Betty's aunt,Bonnie Wong,Orr .I last saw her at a picnic at Warner Park. Her family did live with Austin,my dad outside of Oregon,WI and we played together as children.

I thought long and hard to find any kind of positive to Betty's passing....and the only thing I could come up with was a picture of her and Cubby going on motorcycle rides again. She will be missed.

Betty was loved in the private club of Bob & Bill. She was a lovely gentle lady who was kind to all. Rest in Peace lovely lady!!
