My favorite memory of Vern is many years ago when he was driving the church bus. We were coming back to church after dropping off the last kid and turning the corner off Broadway on to Monona Dr. John Grant was sitting in the back of the bus and hollars "a tire is rolling down the street". As the bus starts to lean to the right Vern says "I think that is our tire". Sure enough our bus had lost a wheel. I was so glad Vern was driving that day. He took it all in stride and safely got the bus off to the side of the road. So many times over the years we laughed about him driving the wheels off the bus. He was a good guy and we will miss you Vern.

Carol and Family, I am so sorry for your loss for wonderful man. I really enjoyed my time with Vern and Carol as they would visit Klockit on a regular basis. I will forever cherish my lab clock that Vern had made for me. Seeing Vern's love for Carol was a beautiful thing. He will be missed. He is with the Lord and watching over his family. May the next couple of days you find comfort and support. Sincerely, Heather Rockwell
