BRIGGSVILLE-Scott Richard Goth, age 58, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, at his home in Briggsville. He was born on June 4, 1957, in Madison to Merlin C. and Lois Joyce (Carpenter) Goth. Scott lived most of his life in the Madison area, moving to Briggsville in 2000. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. Scott is survived by his brother, Norman; his step-mother, Angie; sister-in-law, Linda; his step-siblings; cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Larry; and his sister-in-law, Mary (Hurley) Goth. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016. Private inurnment will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens in Madison. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Those wishing to offer memorials are asked to make them in Scott's name to the Badger Honor Flight. Scott and I were classmates from 2nd grade thru High School. The last time I saw him in July he commented about it. I will miss him and is sense of humor. He was one of a kind.
