Obituary
LODI-Bernard "Barnie" Anthony Treinen, age 67, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016. He was born on May 26, 1948 in Madison, the son of Leo and Theresa (Esser) Treinen. Barnie graduated from Lodi High School in 1966. He enlisted with the US Navy and served from 1967-1971. Barnie was employed with the V.A. Hospital at both Tomah and Madison in Administrative Services, retiring in 2003. He then worked for Fed Ex for five years. Barnie was a member of American Legion Post #503, Dane. Barnie is survived by his two sisters, Donna (Rueben) Markgraf and Joanne (Steven) Clarey; nieces and nephews, Morgen and Matthias Clarey and Michael (Helena) Treinen and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Valentine (Jeanne) and nephew, John. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at BLESSED TRINITY CATHOLIC PARISH AT ST. PATRICK'S CHURCH, 521 Fair St., Lodi, at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, February 20, 2016 with Reverend Father Chad M. Droessler presiding. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church. A gathering celebrating Barnie's life will be held at KD's Bar and Grill following the service. Memorial may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
