Kenneth "Ken" Nyreen

VERONA-Kenneth "Ken" Nyreen, age 97, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016. He was born on Oct. 19, 1918, in Chicago, Ill., the son of Alfred and Beda (Ostling) Nyreen. He was married to Carolyn E. Wessels for 65 years. Ken was a proud World War II veteran. As a teenager, he grew up in Port Wing, Wis., and returned frequently throughout the years. Ken is survived by two daughters, Sandra (Tom) Solheim of Madison and Jackie (Tom) Treska of Woburn, Mass.; four grandchildren, Carolyn Teska, Karla (Angela) Yancy, Michael (Anne) Solheim and David (Nicole) Solheim; and great-grandchildren, Henry and Luke Solheim and Thea and Sabastian Yancy.
