Obituary
Cross Plains/Waterloo, Iowa – Kenneth Michael Redding died unexpectedly on Friday, March 11, 2016, in Cross Plains, Wis. He is survived by his wife, Veronika (Nika) Redding; their daughter, Noelle Sofyia Redding, both of Cross Plains, Wis.; mother, Denise Redding; father and step-mother, Lowell and Kathy Redding of Waterloo, Iowa; step-sister, Jennifer Pfaltzgraff of Ackley, Iowa; and step-brother, Brian Swestka, of Garden City, Mo. He is survived by cousins, Matthew and Lisa Wittmann, Long Island, NY. Also survived by, mother-in-law, Tatiana Pashkova; father-in-law, Vitaly Pashkov, brother -in-law, Eduard Pashkov and sister-in-law, Nika Pashkova. Ken graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1988, where he was a member of the marching band. He also earned his Eagle Scout badge. Ken graduated from the University of Iowa in 1992 with a BS in Chemical Engineering, where he also became a diehard Hawkeyes fan. After college, Ken moved to New York to work for a medical supply company. Then he moved to Wisconsin to work for Rayovac in the battery division for 17 years. Ken was a caring husband and a devoted father to his daughter and enjoyed playing games and going to the playground with her. He was an excellent worker, a good friend and neighbor, and a kind generous soul. He liked to laugh and made interesting conversations with people. Ken enjoyed hiking, outdoors and travelling to different countries and taking road trips with his family.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends who loved him. Memorial services will be held at Gunderson West Funeral Home, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, at noon, on Saturday, March 19, 2016 with Pastor Dave Gagnon officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 am until the time of service on Saturday. Memorials may be directed to Noelle's Educational Fund. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com
