Cheryl--Gretchen and I were saddened to hear the news. Since we first met you both back in 2009, you've both been a great source of inspiration to us. Don has been an amazing example of how I want to be: humble, powerful in deed, humorous, and a light to those around him. From a professional viewpoint, I was always impressed with how Don connected with the younger members of our military/ROTC. The cadets with whom I worked were always excited to have him at events to tell of his experiences in the Air Force. It was a high point of their school year. Thank you for sharing him with us; we're all the better for knowing him. Our prayers are with you and your family during this time. We pray that you find God's peace that's always available for the asking.

Cheryl and family I can see and hear him now, playing a piano duet with Jesus on Easter. We were so lucky all those years to have the two of you at the piano. Always made me tear up. Still does. You have our condolences, Sheila and Larry Gempeler

Cheryl, I am sorry to hear this news. I have such a fond memory of you and Don walking through our hay field helping pick up debris after the tornado. I always thought it was such a kind gesture as I know he wasn't feeling well. May God's peace be upon you & your family during this difficult time. Sincerely, Larry & Beth Johnson

Cheryl and family - I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Don was a true gentleman. Don and I didn't always agree with each other, but we were always able to discuss things in a civil manner and remain good colleagues, and I hope, friends. He will be missed.
