Obituary
POYNETTE/MADISON/RIB LAKE—Robert E. Bartholomew Sr., age 90, of Rib Lake, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016. He was born on Dec. 20, 1925, in Lodi, the son of John and Martha (Radar) Bartholomew. He married Mary Jean Lafler on Feb. 9, 1946, in Lodi. Robert graduated from Poynette High School. He retired from Royster's Fertilizer after almost 40 years of service. Robert took his camper everywhere; he loved the outdoors and was an avid Packers fan. Robert is survived by his three sons, Robert Jr. (Sharon), Eugene and Doug (Lynn); grandchildren, Scott, David and Jeff Bartholomew and Shana Longley; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Krueger, Margaret Rizer and Dorothy Kowald; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Jean; two sisters, Mabel Thurber and Lola Thurber; and four brothers, Vic, Joe, James and Lloyd. A committal service will be held at HILLSIDE CEMETERY, Poynette, at 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, April 28, 2016. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
