Obituary
MONTELLO/MADISON—Charles Michael "Mike" Eldridge Sr., age 76, of Montello/Madison, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016, at Montello Care Center. He was born on March 10, 1940, in Milwaukee, the son of Phillip and Marjorie (Daly) Eldridge. Charles enjoyed local racing as a sponsor and fan, NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers. He was the owner and operator of Mike's Garage in Madison until he retired in 1996. Charles is survived by his children, Tony (Alicia) Younger, Michelle (Terry) Daveler, Charles Eldridge Jr., and Mary (Wes) Eldridge-Cupps; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; the love of his life, Patricia Bradley; siblings, Phyllis Damken, Robert Goehring and Barbara Goehring; the mother of his children, Sandra Younger; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cindy Olson; grandchildren, Kyle Olson and Charles Eldridge III; brothers, Jack Eldridge and Phillip Eldridge Jr.; sister, Patricia Jesion; sisters-in-law, Donna Goehring and Bonnie Eldridge; and brothers-in-law, Charles Damken and Peter Jesion. Visitation will be held at the GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, with a memorial service following at 1 p.m. A luncheon will be held at EAGLES CLUB, 2109 Bartillon Dr., Madison, after the service at 2 p.m. The family would like to send a special thanks to Montello Care Center for all of their wonderful care. I knew Mike when he had the Garage &Salvage yard on Walsh rd. I am a retired Madison Police Officer andI used to stop there. Mike also worked on my cars when he had that shop. I also knew his son Charlie.
I stopped in to see him when he lived on Hwy 22,just into Marquette County when I fished on Grand River. One day I stopped in & learned he moved to Montello. I think I talked to his daughter. I haven't seem Mike since. After his Stroke he seemed to change mentally.

mike . I just learned of your passing today . it broke my heart. I called patty n she told me that you went upstairs to heaven. I cried . I know your in a better place . but it still hurts that I never got to say good bye to you. its gonna be hard to walk past your house n not hear sky bark at me . all I can say is fly high my friend.n party like ive seen u do before. im gonna miss you like no other mike . I remember his junkyard to salvage yard my dad went in there for years I knew him also I knew his son really well Charles Eldridge Jr and I lost contact with him and I would like to get in contact with Junior if I can
