Obituary
MADISON-Rosemary Jackson (née Birchman) age 90, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017 at Oak Park Nursing Home. She was born on Jan. 4, 1927, in Fennimore, the daughter of John and Caroline (Powell) Birchman. She met her husband, Clifford in 1952 at the bowling alley in Lancaster and they were united in marriage in Fennimore later that year. Rosemary and Clifford lived in Beloit, Darlington, and then moved to Madison in 1966. She was an avid reader and served as a library aid at the Holy Rosary grade school in Darlington. One of her great joys was being a member of the Alley Cats bowling team, also in Darlington. Rosemary was a homemaker and raised four children, and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rosemary is survived by children, Dan (Jayne) Jackson, Sue (Bob) Schaefer, Nancy (Greg) Adkins and Judy (Tim) Testolin; grandchildren, Lauren Jackson, Kara (Timothy) Clement, Megan (Patrick) Wasmer, Jake Schaefer, Brad (Karen) Adkins, Scott Adkins, Stefanie (Brent) Wagner, Tony (Laura) Testolin and Sam Testolin; great-grandchildren, Henry Clement, Jackson Adkins, Ruxin Wagner, and Hailey and Tanner Testolin. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford; brothers, Lawrence Birchman and John Birchman; and special sister-in-law, Barbara Birchman. A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Fennimore at a later date. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
