Anabel B. Barten (Wilch)

MADISON-Anabel B. Barten (Wilch), age 96, passed away after a long illness on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, in Oxford, Ohio. She was born on Aug. 10, 1920, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Lester and Helen Wilch. She graduated from West Milwaukee High School, Milwaukee in 1939. Anabel was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was a loving and caring wife, mother and homemaker for all of her life. Anabel is survived by son, Frank (Nancy) Barten; grandchildren, Christi (Jerod) Sommerfeldt, Jonathan (Savannah) Barten, Scott Hanson and Matthew Hanson; great-grandchildren, Eva Barten and Foster Sommerfeldt; sister, Barbara (Marion) Arnold; and nieces and nephew, Sharon Drewes, Linda Hisle and Mark Drewes. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; and daughter, Suzanne Hanson. Private services were held with burial at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
