Obituary

Poynette- Geraldine "Geri" Brown-Welchert, age 45, of Poynette, passed away unexpectedly in the presence of her family on Sunday, May 14, 2017, of natural causes. She was born on September 11, 1971 the daughter of Eugene Brown and Lucina (Malig) Brown, in the Philippines, at Clark Air Force Base. Geri graduated from Lodi High School in 1989 and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources from the University of Phoenix. On March 24, 2005, she married William Welchert.  Geri was employed with MTM as a Quality Service Rep.  She had a variety of interests but especially enjoyed wolves and Yellowstone National Park and the preservation of the environment and wildlife. She was also an avid Cubs fan and loved going to Star Wars movies with her family.  In addition to her husband Bill and her parents, Eugene and Lucina Brown, Geri is survived by a son, Devin  Brown; her brothers, Peter Brown and Remi (Anne) Malig; her mother-in-law, Jane (James) Stelpflug; her father-in-law, William J (Peggy) Welchert Sr.; her brother-in-law, Aaron (Amy) Stelpflug; her sisters-in-law, Cathy (Lauren) Dufresne and Krystal Eastlick; and her dog, Khya.  A memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON LODI FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 157 S Main St, Lodi, from 5:00 pm until 8:00pm on Friday May 19, 2017. Geri I am so glad we had the time sitting and watching the boys practice and play football. I cannot say how many laughs we had or smiles exchanged,. God bless your beautiful soul. Rest In Peace friend.
