Marion Helen (Bondehagen) Olson

STOUGHTON-Marion Helen (Bondehagen) Olson, age 99, of Stoughton, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017, at Skaalen Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Stoughton on Oct. 3, 1917, the fourth of six children to Andrew and Carrie (Hillestad) Bondehagen. Marion grew up during the Great Depression and after high school graduation joined the work force.  Marion worked for Dane County for over 30 years before retiring. Marion was united in marriage to Milo Olson in 1942, they were blessed with two sons, Bruce and Terry.  She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.  Marion enjoyed cooking, embroidery, sewing and spending time with her family.  She is survived by her loving nieces; nephews; and their families.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Milo; two sons, Bruce and Terry; and siblings, Agnes, Thomas, Cora, Harold, and Janet. Funeral services will be held at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1904 Winnebago St, Madison, at 5 p.m. on Tuesday Oct. 3, 2017, with the Rev. Susan Schneider presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the church from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017, with an Eastern Star service beginning at 3:45 p.m.  Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
