COTTAGE GROVE- On Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, the Schantz family lost three members in a car accident, Ildred, Alan and Brian Schantz. A Celebration of their Lives will be held at HOPE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3702 Cty Hwy AB, McFarland, at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017. A time of fellowship immediately following the service. Burial will be held at a later date. A full obituary will appear in Friday’s edition.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the families of these men. I didn't know Brian personally but I did work at the same farm as him. I did get the enjoyment of watching his relationship with Verona grow when they'd sit by the grain bin during their breaks. It was a joy to see their happiness.
