Uncle Dean is part of my earliest, pleasant memories as a young child. I remember him, always in good humor, at grandpa and grandma's house in Baraboo, with Aunt Marion, Cousin Jeff and grandpa's memorable German Shepherd, Smokey. On the east side of Madison, I remember a house filled with the noise of six counsins playing, and boat rides on Lake Monona. After Aunt Marion's death, he was so happy with Donna, their travels, and her warm and supportive family. He always seemed to find the pleasure in life, and lived it well. His passing leaves me sad and nostalgic about the Baraboo LaMar family - grandpa, grandma, my mom and Uncle Dean. Russ, Jesi (Joan) and I will miss him, and we send our love to Jeff, Judy, Cindy, and Donna and her family.
