Obituary

LODI- We are saddened to tell you all that our Mom Catherine "Cathie" Koehn, age 82, of Lodi, died on Saturday, January 6, 2018. Mom had been battling some health issues that ultimately took her from us. Anyone who ever met her, would know her as one of the kindest and most generous people on earth. She was fiercely proud of her Irish heritage and she enjoyed her knitting group and grandchildren.  Mom was born on January 17, 1935, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of James and Elinor (Lennon) Leonard.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Sara Leonard.  She is survived by and will be terribly missed by her “four boys”; Jim (Diana), Mike (Franci), Pat and Sean. She is also survived by her grandchildren Max, Sam, Emily, Heather, Michelle and Alaina. Knowing her faith and her strong beliefs, she will be looking forward to her eternal life with the Lord. As we knew her and how she lived her life we are certain of this as well. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at BLESSED TRINITY CATHOLIC PARISH AT ST PATRICK'S CHURCH-LODI, 521 Fair St., at 11a.m. on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 with Fr. Scott Jablonski presiding. Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Portage. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Wednesday. I am sad to hear this news of Cathie passing away. Growing up in North Hills she was a very big part of my early years. So many memories came rushing back. The one that will always make me smile is hearing your mom call out my name. “Hey, Beaner.” She was always there to listen and talk with. Had some great conversations. I will be thinking of her and her family on Wednesday. Wish I could be there. Stay strong and enjoy the memories.
