DANE-Nickolas "Nick" H. Schuetz, age 88, passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018, at his home. He was born on January 28, 1930 in Dane, the son of Michael and Susan (Rassel) Schuetz. Nick worked for Oscar Mayer for over 30 years in production until his retirement in 1981. In his retirement, Nick enjoyed wood working, gardening and was always know to be helping out a friend or family member. Nick is survived by his siblings, Mathias (Rita) Schuetz and Marie (Don) Kelley. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings John, Elizabeth, Olive, Christine and Michael. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at BLESSED TRINITY CATHOLIC PARISH AT ST. MICHAEL’S CHURCH, 109 S. Military Rd., Dane, at 11:00 am, on Monday, March 5, 2018. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

I will miss Nicks walk though the Village, he was always a delight to speak with. Friendly, with a smile knowledgeable of the village. He will be missed by more than will admit it. Rest in peace Nick, my prayers and thoughts are with you.
He would stop in the bar (Purple Pup Tavern) years ago when my sister Betty was working, he had a crush on her and just loved to stop by to see her, he never asked her out on a date but was friendly. He liked Sundrop soda and a good burger.

Nick had a heart of gold. Our hearts ache knowing we will never see him again. We are grateful for our time spent with him. We will forever and for always miss you!
