Obituary
MADISON-Mary Ann (Crase) Raynoha was born into everlasting grace on April 3, 2018. She entered this world in 1925, in Madison as the first born child to Frances and Victor Crase. The family moved to a small farm in Dodgeville in 1928. Mary Ann attended one room country grade schools in the Dodgeville area until 1939, when the family moved into the City of Dodgeville. There, she attended Dodgeville High School for two years. In 1941, the family moved to Madison, and Mary Ann completed high school at Edgewood High School, graduating in 1943. In 1947, Mary Ann married Stephen Raynoha at St. Patrick’s Church, Madison. They remained married 67 years until Stephen’s death in December 2013. Together, they raised eight children. Before being married, Mary Ann worked at Research Products Corporation, and later at Wisconsin Bell Telephone. As the last of the children entered high school, Mary Ann returned to work at Ameritech, during which time she also continued her own education, graduating in 1983 from Edgewood College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She retired in 1988 from Ameritech after 20 years of service. Mary Ann was interested in poetry and her family genealogy. She was a long time active member of St. James (Good Shepherd) Catholic Church. She was also a member of St. John’s Preservation Society of Union Mills, Dodgeville, Southwest Wisconsin Cornish Society, Iowa County Historical Society, and AT&T Pioneers. Most of all, her focus was family, to whom she taught courage, fortitude, a belief in God, and dignity in death. She was loved deeply by her family and friends and will be sorely missed. I met & got to know your mother through my dad, her cousin on the Dochnahl side, Jim Hagerty. Mary Ann was a beautiful , kind, gentle soul. I was always impressed with her positivity. I was also impressed with her knowledge of the Dodgeville family & her many additions to filling in the family tree & her efforts to connect with newly discovered relatives. I also admired her deep faith. Her amazing light will be missed. Lynn (Hagerty) Herman

Dearest Mom,
You brought me into this world with love and grace. You were the best Mom ever and taught me by example to be compassionate, confident, courageous, adventurous, and faithful to God. You taught us to pray and you taught us to not only enjoy life but to make the most of it seizing opportunities and using our talents to help others.
Fly free my beautiful Mother, somewhere over the rainbow, with the angels and Dad, Cathy and Katelynn.
I will miss you with every beat of my heart, until I see you again.
Forever your Stella Montutina

My most cherished Mom, there hasn't been a moment of my life that I did not know you. From the first electric impulse that brought me into being, you were my home. My crib was next to your bed in my earliest years. We'd reach out to hold hands, sending me to the most secure, serene sleep. We held hands a lot, you and I. Being your youngest, I had you to myself when all the others went to school. At just four years old, you took me to my first fashion show downtown at Manchester's. At home, I'd play by your side as you'd iron the sheets. One of my earlist memories is watching in sad confusion as you cried, bent over the ironing board, when President Kennedy's assassination was announced on TV. Over the many years we held hands so often, I could bring your touch to life even with miles between us. I knew you always held me in your heart. And forever will I hold you in mine.

We will miss seeing Aunt Mary Ann on our visits to Madison. It was always a pleasure to talk to her. What a remarkable, dear, loving woman! May her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchild be comforted by happy memories and the promise of eternal life.
With our love and sympathy,

My deepest sympathy to the friends and family of Mary Ann. She was so proud of her Cornish roots and I am pleased to call her cousin of my Stephens family.
