Jean Cree was a friend whom I will cherish forever. I cannot imagine coming to Madison and not seeing her. Her dedication to her God, her family and to her musical ministry were indescribable. Heaven now has Jean and Jetty. We will miss you--

Jean and I shared what we both loved so much, teaching kids. Some of my fondest memories of teaching involve Jean and the trials, tribulations and joys of that phase of our lives. She was such a wonderful partner. It's hard for me to imagine that she's no longer on this earth. May she rest in peace.

I worked with Jean in her early years as an educator while at Lapham Elementary. Jean was a warm, caring, nurturing and talented person and teacher. She was the kind of teacher that everyone wanted to have their child placed because they all knew that she would tenderly move them along emotionally, socially and academically. Jean, I wish you and your family peace and loving memories until you are joined again for eternal happiness. Sincerely, Roseann Murphy

I was very fortunate to have Mrs. Cree as my 1st and 2nd grade teacher at Franklin. 24 years later, I still remember her warm, caring, and generous demeanor. I can still remember some of the fun games she taught and how inviting her classroom was. She was a wonderful person and teacher through and through. She will be missed but never forgotten.
