Obituary
MADISON-Surrounded by her family, Myrtle Irene Harrison-Keith’s walk here on earth has ended as she eagerly entered the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, April 23, 2018, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Judy Harrison. She was born on March 4, 1927, in Richland Center, to Joseph and Doralla (Rano) Leffler. She lived most of her life in the Madison area, and retired from the UWHC, Madison. Myrtle’s generosity of heart and spirit endured her to everyone who knew her. She lived a life of contentment and her love was unconditional. Myrtle was a true Proverbs 31 woman. Our family has lost its “prayer warrior”. Her love for the Lord permeated everything she did. Every child should have been blessed with a mother such as her. Myrtle is survived by her children, Patricia (Leo) Larsen of The Villages, Fla., Randall (Judy) Harrison of Madison, Brian (Carol) Harrison of Madison and Laurie Harrison (Steve Kaste) of Oregon; 17 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; foster parents, Daniel and Alma Manning; two precious daughters, Shirley Keith and Janine Hauptli; brother, Buster; and sisters, Jeanette, Pauline, Charolette and Lorraine. At Myrtle’s request there will be no services. Memorials may be given in her honor to the Pacific Garden’s Mission, Chicago, Ill. The family wishes to thank Agrace HospiceCare for all of their help. Also a special thanks to her granddaughter, Amber Taylor for her loving care and devotion to her grandma. 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. We were both 21 years old when we met, 70 years ago. My first child, Kathy, and Myrtle's first child, Patty, were both babies. And we have maintained a friendship ever since. She has always been my best friend. I have very happy memories of our friendship. Jean E. Wilcox

I have many fond memories going back 48 years. Hard to believe, where has the time gone. Ma Harrison was a gentle soul and her eyes radiated kindness. She was so nice to us growing up even though she probably wanted to slap us along side the head from time to time. And with good reason! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I am pretty sure Janine and Shirley welcomed her with open arms. Love you.
