Obituary
MADISON- Vada B. Jones, age 93, of Madison, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018, at Oak Park Place, Baraboo. She was born on May 12, 1925, in Richland Center, the daughter of Karl and Hazel (Sandmire) Booth. She was a 1943 graduate of Madison West High School. Vada was employed at First National Bank until her marriage on May 15, 1946, at Trousdale Methodist Church, to Raymond L. Jones. After the children graduated from high school, she was employed at Richard E. Ela Co. until her retirement in 1987. Vada was a member of Lakeview Moravian Community Church, and a charter member of Ladies Elks No. 410 Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing and knitting, especially knitting preemie caps for Meriter Hospital and sewing caps, mittens etc. for the Salvation Army. Most of all, she enjoyed her family and home. Vada is survived by her daughter, Jacquelyn (William) Carey of Lyndon Station; granddaughter, Joy Forer; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray in 2012; son, Karl in 1977; and sisters, Bertha Murphy, Alice Struthers and Emah Bass Meyers. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr. Madison, at 11 a.m., on Monday, June 18, 2018. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lakeview Moravian Church or to Madison Elks No. 410 Charities. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

I remember Vada from the Elks Lodge. She was such a sweetheart. I am so very sorry for your loss. Karen (Mader) Thompson
