Ken was a wonderful man. John and I looked forward to seeing him at family celebrations. He was always so upbeat and positive about life. Our hearts go out to his family. We wish you comfort and peace as you remember Ken.

I grew up next door to Ken and he couldn’t have been a better neighbor. Despite the damage done to the grass and trees with our daily games of baseball, football, golf, tag and any other activity we wanted to undertake, my brothers and I are forever grateful for him allowing us to double the size of our playing field by using their back yard as if it were our own. He put in the beach from which the four of us, Jenny and our friends swam every day in the summer; the remnants of which were in existence even 50 years later. He taught us to water ski (In the days before PFDs, he always wore a ski belt.) and, in turn, we taught our kids. In addition to all those great things from throughout our childhood, he gave my brothers, parents and I the legendary swimming call and response that we still use every time we get together, “How’s the water, Ken?” His (now our) reply: “Wet.”
Our condolences to Mark, Jenny and Dan, the grandkids and Marilyn,
