Mary Kay Affeldt-Trendy

MOUNT HOREB- Mary Kay Affeldt-Trendy, age 66, of Mount Horeb, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, at Ingleside Manor.  She was born on Dec. 26, 1951, in Waterloo, Iowa. Mary graduated from Edgewood High School. She married James Trendy in 1994. Mary resided in Sarasota, Fla. for 40 years.  She loved to fish and had a great sense of humor. Mary could always find a way to make you laugh. She was a big animal lover and had many dogs and cats. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her children and granddaughter.  Mary is survived by her son, Alberto Romero; daughter, Carly Gabrielson; granddaughter, Victoria Vazquez;  brothers, Mike (Mary Sutter) Affeldt, Pat (Linda Zech) Affeldt and John (Mary) Affeldt; and sisters, Connie (Dan) Laufenberg, Laura (Pat) Riesen and Cindy (Rick) Pretzel. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto, Anne and Marjorie Affeldt; and husband, James Trendy. In keeping with Mary’s wishes, no services will be held.
