Obituary
SUN PRAIRIE-Jerry L. "Bumps" Knudtson, age 70, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. He was born on March 28, 1948, in DeForest, the son of the late Tenard and Ruby (Dorman) Knudtson. On Aug. 22, 1970 he married Rosemary Holden in Windsor. Jerry was employed with the Oregon Correctional Center as Senior Power Plant Operator until his retirement in 2010. He had a variety of interests including hunting, fishing, watching westerns on TV but enjoyed most the time he spent with his family. Jerry was very mechanically inclined and could repair and make most anything being a "jack of all trades".
In addition to Rosemary his wife of 48 years, survivors include his son, Jason; his grandson, TJ Knudtson; his brothers, Warren (Mary), Kieth (Judy), Charles Knudtson; his sisters, Susan Bratland and Wendy Allen; his sisters-in-law, Kathy Knudtson, Doris Knudtson, Shirley Knudtson; his brother-in-law, John Benisch; and other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Jesse and James; his sister, Joyce Benisch; and five brothers, David, Dean "Pete", Gerald "Butch", Larry and Neil Knudtson.
A gathering celebrating Jerry's life will be held at GUNDERSON LODI FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, with a prayer service at noon. Burial will follow at Arlington Prairie Lutheran Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at Reach Out Lodi. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
