Obituary
OREGON-Carol Jean Jensen, age 80, passed away suddenly of natural causes on Feb. 5, 2019, at her home. She was born on June 30, 1938, the only child of Harold and Blanche Wendt of Oregon.
Carol took joy in her grandchildren, gathering family history, cooking, reading, and knitting.
Survivors include her stepchildren, Jack (Diane) Jensen of Oregon, Jill (Randy) Thompson of Monona and Jane (Jeff) Routhieaux of Oregon; grandchildren, Angie (Josh) Fassl, Lindsy (Kevin) Ewert and Dr. Zachariah (Katarena), Jacob (Katherine), Johnna and Samuel Seelman; Carol’s aunt Louise; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marv Jensen; daughter, Valerie Straavaldsen; and her mother and father.

Carol and I were "Best" friends in 7th and 8th grade at the "Brick " school there in Oregon. The last time I saw her was at her Mom & Dad's auction and we sure had a lot to talk about. We shared stories and laughs and were going to get together sometime...but, as happens too often we never did....and now it's too late..till we meet again...your friend..Mary Jane "Adams" Melvin

Carol and I were not just relatives; we were friends. We spent hours working genealogy, and she found more connections than I did. She was one smart lady. We always dined together whenever I was in Wisconsin. Carol found the graves of our second great grandfather and mother in Liberty Prairie. There after, she always marked the graves with flowers. Her hope was that someday someone would do the same for her.
