I was saddened to learn of Rod's passing. Although he was a bit older, one of my favorite memories was when he unexpectedly showed up at my mother's 90th birthday celebration in 2003

Rod and I had a very unusual relationship. A relationship of manager/umpire. It was one of many disagreements but always one of mutual respect. Rod was not only an awesome manager but an even better friend and person. My sincere condolences to Rods family ands all of us friends. RIP Rod! Ron Brinkman, ISC HOF 2013

Mr. Peterson, you and your family were a part of the Jerry Anderson family for countless years! One of my Dad's best friends. I remember the times we spent with your family were full of fun and laughter. When I was still in high school, I would babysit for your youngest daughter! Heaven took your hero before your heart was ready to let him go. I started working for him when I was 15. Over 30 years later. We remained in contact and shared many laughs. I will remember him with a smile
