Sandeepa Lama Palmer
April 25, 1982 - January 03, 2020
Obituary
STOUGHTON – Sandeepa Lama Palmer, age 37, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Friday, Jan 3, 2020, at UW-Hospital and Clinics. She was born on April 25, 1982, the beloved daughter of Mr. Santosh and Mrs. Kalpana Lama. She is survived by her loving husband Irvin Palmer who she wed on Nov 28, 2014, and had two beautiful children, son, Khyentse (4) and daughter, Amara (2). She was an amazing sister to two wonderful brothers, Sandeep and Sanjay Lama.
Sandeepa was an angel and many in this world had the privilege to cross her paths. She had an extraordinarily loving and giving soul and touched the hearts of many with her exuberance and her generosity. From her immediate family to her extended family, her friends and co-workers to the entire community, there is not a single soul who was not touched by Sandeepa’s love for life. Sandeepa was always ready to help, always with a bright smile and was a true friend to everyone in her life.
Above all, what Sandeepa loved the most was being mom to Khyentse and Amara and wife to Irvin. She was the perfect daughter who stayed in touch with her parents every day and aunt who loved her nephew and nieces like her own, and a perfect friend who you could always lean on. She loved giving gifts, genuinely loved taking care of her elder relatives and always remembered to wish birthdays to her family and friends near and far. A quote that would sum up Sandeepa’s philosophy in life: “The more you wish happiness for others, the more you have. The less you wish happiness for others, the less you have."
A Buddhist Ceremony will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1358 Hwy 51 @ Jackson St., Stoughton, on Monday, Jan. 6, 2020, from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Eulogy’s will be from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m., followed by a time of gathering and refreshments until 2 pm. I met Sandeepa a few times during our friends/family gatherings at Mani/Hema Lama's place in Milwaukee. I clearly remember meeting her for the first time. She had an aura of kindness, compassion, and genuineness that I will never forget. She was one of the purest souls that I have ever met. And, so was her husband, Irvin. I remember telling my friends what a genuine, loving couple. She was very helpful as well. Last year, she helped my parents connect with her dad who kindly helped them in getting a harmonium to US from Kathmandu. We were shocked to hear of and deeply saddened by her very very untimely demise. May her departed soul rest in peace. At this hour of tragedy, my family and I would like to offer our sincere thoughts and prayers to Irvin, the kids, and the rest of the bereaved family. May God bless them with strength and love going forward. Love, Arbin Katwal and family.

Sandeepa and Irvin has been in our lives for over a decade. Her positive, caring and calming personality defines who she was. Such a loving mother, supportive wife and a genuine friend/sister. Countless weekends we spent together in Madison, the lively momo parties, visiting botanical garden together, celebrating multiple Christmases together, the baby showers, the birthday parties..... you have touched our life in so many ways Sandeepa! Your love for life, your compassion and generosity has touched so many lives!!! You are truly missed Sandeepa! To Irvin, Kids, uncle and Aunty: our heartfelt condolences. - Lalita, Bipin and family.
