Ellen had an untethered spirit and a golden heart. Family and friends were her precious treasures. We will think of her at sunrise, sunset and infinite moments in between, hear her in the backyard birds, see her in the smiles of children and pets and feel her loving presence as we continue on our paths.
There will be no funeral service. A celebration of Ellen’s life will take place at a later date. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

How do you put in to word who Ellen was? Wife, mother, sister friend and aunt. Well that is just some of the titles. Loving, funny, caring, helpful, joyful, that is just some of many ways to describe her. I will remember all the fun we had. Ellen and I love speaking in both English and Danish, often at the same time. I would say something in English and she would answer me back in Danish. Often just because it was fun to see people react to this.
She was a great and loving aunt. Miss you, and love you.

Ellen was such a delight! Her incongruous sense of humor, her wonderful, meandering approach to storytelling, her slightly skewered observations of everyday life and her unfailing happiness in the face of whatever life presented her made her an absolute joy to be around. Will will miss her beyond words and remember her with an affection that transcends articulation. She and Bruce have been in our thoughts every day, and we look forward to celebrating her life in a proper and uplifting manner when the world deems it appropriate. Bill Amundson and Anita James
