Donald "Don" William Temby

We met Don when the EMS was 1st formed. He welcomed us into the Monona Fire Department family. He was kind, with joyful sense of humor. He delighted in forming a woman's waterfight team to compete at the rural fire departments that held men's competitions. He loved to share his firefighting knowledge, which he took seriously, but did not take himself too seriously. Our last visit was sharing a table at the MOFD Christmas party. Cancer had taken its toll on his body but his sense of humor was in top form. He will be missed. Rest in Peace Don. Kristen & Abby; you took great care of him. Had the honor of meeting a new friend thru Roxbury trapclub. Don had a passion for shooting trap and the bull with a smile and a chuckle! Don was retired when I got to know him thru the Monona crew that made it hard to buy a round of beverages from time to time. Will miss your humor and friendship. i
