Jeff cared deeply about St. John's in Oregon, WI and wanted it to be a place we could all be proud of for years to come. He chaired our most recent capital campaign that raised more money than what many of us thought was possible. I'm sad that he'll never be able to see the new sanctuary, but he played an pivotal role in moving that work forward. That is one of many gifts that he left us as a dear and devoted member. God's blessing be upon Jeff and his family as they morn his loss. Our church family morns his loss with you. With you in love and faith, Ryan Anderson

Dear Nancy and family,
our hearts are heavy with the news of Jeff's passing, we remember his smile and laugh whenever communicating with him. He had such a love for his family and would speak so proudly of his boys and grandchildren.
St John's will miss him immensely too! When he had an idea, it was followed through with great energy and pride.
Nancy, we sure wish we could give you a huge, tight hug today.
Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Warmest hugs and with great sympathy,
John and Brenda Cuta

Jeff was a rare gem in the precious assets of St. John's. I knew him as a leader in the Forward in Faith Campaign, giving enormous amounts of his time and talent to achieve our goals. He will now have the best seat ever to watch his efforts come to fruition. He was so proud of his family and spoke with delight about his trips to visit them, grandkids holding a special place in his heart. He was a man of deep faith and was comfortable singing and talking with me and others about his love and certainty of God's presence in his life. He was big in stature and even bigger in heart and soul. I am sure I write this for many at St. John's who will miss him very much. Dear Nancy and family, we send you our love and care to surround you in this time of grief and loss.

Jeff will be dearly missed in the band, the choir, as the chair of the worship committee and capital campaign, and as a dear friend. His passion and compassion shined through in all he did, in decorating the sanctuary for Christmas, in singing, in leading prayers during meetings, in his friendly greeting to Jordy & I when we ran into each other while out running or walking, in his joyful laugh and caring words. On a Zoom call with the band a few months ago, we enjoyed a virtual tour of the indoor garden that he was so lovingly and proudly attending to. I respected Jeff greatly, and will deeply miss him. Continued prayers for Nancy, family, and all grieving from this great loss. God’s peace.
