James R. "Jim" Murray , Jr.

MCFARLAND/STOUGHTON - James R. “Jim” Murray Jr., age 91, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 10, 2021, at Skaalen Garden Glen. He was born on June 20, 1930, in Cumberland Center, Md., the son of James and Violet (Phieffer) Murray. Jim proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was united in marriage to Marion Russell on Sept. 21, 1957. Jim worked for Rayovac and Cuna Data. He was a quiet and very pleasant man, who enjoyed watching sports, working on his computer and spending time with his family. Jim is survived by his wife, Marion; daughter, Patty (Steve) Gausmann; sons, David (Jenifer) Murray and Robert Murray; grandchildren, Kayla Gausmann, Brad Gausmann, Alexis Williams and Nicole Williams; great-grandchildren, Mason, Lily and Ava Ring, Analee, Rilee and Owen Gausmann and Aiden Murray; sister, Lois Brown; and a niece and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and granddaughter, Brianne Murray. A private family service will be held. Memorials may be gifted in Jim’s name to Agrace HospiceCare or Skaalen Garden Glen.
