To my cousin Carrie and Norv’s wonderful family I send my condolences at his passing. He touched the lives of so many and made a difference in this world. He was a positive role model for this WI farm girl growing up, a cousin to look up to. He was kind, compassionate, devoted to his family and one of the most intelligent people I knew, but also humble. He lived a full and rich life and will be missed, held in my heart and in the hearts of many. With love, Jan Nichols

Carrie, Jason and your family, Bethany and your family: How you have all come together to spend as much SPECIAL TIME with your parents during this trying last year! What a beautiful functioning family unit. Each one played an important part in allowing Norv to be HIMSELF. I will remember Norv from our couples outings , Bible Study discussions and in depth conversations about life!!! Carrie we will be in touch. Love, Mary Moser

I had played pickleball for about 3 years with Norv and Carrie and really enjoyed playing and getting to know them. I realized that before that I had known them from Bethel Lutheran Church several years ago. So sorry to hear of Norv's passing, but hope he is at peace. Carrie and family, you have my sympathies. Take care of yourselves and each other. Judy Cornelius

I met Carrie in 1964. My husband & I met Norv in 1967 when Norv & Carrie came to the Panama Canal Zone. We shared adventures in the jungle and trips to the Interior. A particular challenge was making turkey stuffing. Each of us has our family recipe as a standard. Our laughter carried us through the task to a tasty result. Back in the USA we continued our friendship as we moved about. Visits to both homes combined with phone calls & then tech made our efforts to stay connected a success. We were saddened to follow Norv's illness but grateful for the excellent care he received from Carrie. Jason, Bethany & families were devoted to both of their parents. We miss Norv but know he is with the Lord having served his fellow man on this earth as both a physician and humanitarian. We are grateful that we can attend his memorial via webcast.
