Dennis worked tirelessly to keep Madison's Marquette Elementary School and the attached O'Keeffe Middle School immaculately clean and well-maintained. I worked at Marquette for 10 years and enjoyed being around Dennis on a daily basis. Dennis was one of those folks at Building Services -- and we all know that custodians are central to any school! They keep everything working and they know all the faculty, as well as the students and many families. They greet us in the hallways and show up when we call them -- and we rarely called with good news! Dennis was a true gem .... I thoroughly enjoyed our time together and I am sad to learn of his passing. Thank you, Dennis, for ALL you did to make our school the wonderful place it was -- every single day! I remember walking into the school on the final days of summer vacation -- seeing a mountain of work that still needed to be done before the students arrived. And Dennis assured us that all would be completed before the students arrived. And as students and families arrived -- the entire school sparkled and shined with the care and dedication of the custodians who had prepared us so meticulously for the start of a new year. That was true every year in August .... and then they did that every day all year long!! Thank you, Dennis!

Den and Bev were my neighbors on Eldorado for years. Great family. Miss Bev and will also miss Denny. So sorry to hear this. I live in South Carolina now; so won't be able to come for funeral; but my thoughts are with the family; especially, at this time of year.
