We had been friends since we were 5 years old. Bob was always kind to me. Always. When his feelings were hurt Bob was sad long before any other emotion would manifest. We grew up together. He was my friend when I didn't have many and sometimes any. When I joined the Army, Nobody was prouder than Bob of his friend 'The Soldier'. Life took us in different directions but today I will remember the boy that was always my friend. Godspeed Bob. The world is an emptier place now that you are gone away. The Apostle Paul tells Young Timothy, "We are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses..." Look in on me from time to time will ya? just until I catch up and we meet again. Thank You for the boy you were...and the man you became. God Love you Bob. Your childhood friend, Edward F. Imhoff

We've lived a block away from Elaine and Bob since 1998. Haven't had many interactions except for friendly waves hello. Two years ago my daughter knocked on their door to sell Girl Scout cookies. Elaine said when you knock on our door we'll always support you so we'll take 5 boxes. Bob yelled down make it 10. He then proceeded to share stories of Boy Scouts and how proud he was of his children and of their military service. He showed us what his character was all about - generous, kind, friendly and community. The Bob's of the world will always be missed and never be replaced. We'll remember him always. Our prayers and deepest sympathy to Elaine and the family.

Hail the Traveler! Thank you for all the memories and fun we had together working up at Scout camp over the years. You were always a joy to work with. I'll miss your smile, your antics, and your camaraderie. Rest well Bob, you were a stand up guy.
