Dr. Debra Hullett

I worked with Deb for much of her career at UW. She oversaw the research infrastructure in the Department of Surgery for many years and was a gifted scientist, teacher and problem-solver. She was my introduction to basic science research and we spent many challenging but happy hours creating an environment where scientists could be successful. We built two research floors together—she was an amazing colleague. My condolences to her beloved family—you were immensely important to her as she watched you grow up, play hockey, enjoy the lake, pick colleges. The world was a better place because Deb was in it.

We were saddened to hear of Deb's passing. We have many fond memories of Deb whether it was on the softball field, golfing, watching hockey together or enjoying home cooked meals with Joanne.
