M. "Noreen" Meyer

MADISON - M. “Noreen” Meyer died on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8, 2022, four days after  her 100^th birthday. She was born on May 4, 1922, to Roland and Helen (Collins) Smith.

Noreen graduated from Central High School and Madison Business School. During World War Il, she married Walter Meyer at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Madison while he was on leave; they were married for 70 years. Noreen lived and worked her whole life in Madison.  

Noreen is survived by her children, Judy (Bob) Moe of Stoughton and Michael Meyer of Atlanta; five loving grandchildren, Todd (Karen) Moe of Illinois, Traci (Jerry) Moe-Harried of Waukesha and Tyna Swatek of Stoughton, and Katy (Jordan) Baer and Eric (Kerry) Meyer both of Atlanta; eight great-grandchildren, Stephanie (Victor) Tecalero, Troy (Brooke) Moe, Rachel Moe, Bradley (Emily) Harried, Emily Harried, Payton and Paige Swatek, and Cody Baer; and four great-great-grandchildren, Alana and Madison Moe, and Victor Jr. and Luka Tecalero.

Noreen was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Walter; her brother, Bob; and grandson-in-law, Dennis Swatek.

A memorial service will be held at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK MAUSOLEUM, 401 Femrite Drive, Monona, at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 16, 2022.
